Reservation Roster

Preamble

Oriental B.Ed. College, Lalburra is dedicated to upholding the values of equality, inclusiveness, social justice, and constitutional ethics in all its academic and administrative practices. The college ensures equal opportunities for students from diverse social and economic backgrounds and maintains a supportive and non-discriminatory educational environment. The institution strictly implements the reservation policies and guidelines prescribed by the Government of India, State Government, and other regulatory authorities such as UGC, NCTE, and affiliated bodies. Admissions and other institutional processes are carried out in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations to promote fairness, transparency, and inclusive education for all sections of society.


Policy Statement

The college maintains a Reservation Roster to ensure proper representation and equal opportunities for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in admissions, teaching appointments, and non-teaching recruitments, wherever applicable. The institution follows the reservation policies and guidelines issued by the Government and concerned regulatory authorities to promote social equity, transparency, and inclusive participation in all institutional processes.


Objectives of the Reservation Roster

  • To implement reservation policies in a transparent and systematic manner.
  • To ensure equal opportunity and non-discrimination in recruitment and admissions.
  • To promote inclusive growth and social empowerment through education.
  • To comply with constitutional provisions and statutory regulations.

Implementation Mechanism

  • Reservation is implemented strictly as per the prescribed percentage and roster system.
  • Separate rosters are maintained for teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and student admissions, as applicable.
  • The roster registers are regularly updated, reviewed, and authenticated by the competent authority.
  • Any change in policy issued by the Government or regulatory bodies is implemented with immediate effect.

Monitoring and Compliance

  • The Reservation Roster is periodically monitored by the Head of the Institution / Governing Body / IQAC.
  • Compliance reports are prepared and made available for inspection by statutory authorities.
  • The Institute ensures that the roster system is followed in both letter and spirit.

Transparency and Accessibility

  • Reservation details are displayed on the Institute website and notice boards, wherever required.
  • Stakeholders may seek clarification regarding reservation norms through the administrative office.
