Executive Council
The Executive Council serves as the apex governing and decision-making body of Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training (HITT). It provides strategic leadership and guidance in areas such as academic development, administration, financial management, and overall institutional growth. The Council ensures that the institute operates in alignment with its Vision and Mission while adhering to the regulations and standards prescribed by NCTE, the affiliating university, and other statutory bodies.
Objectives of the Executive Council
- To ensure effective governance and administration of the institute
- To promote academic excellence and quality assurance
- To frame and approve institutional policies and strategic plans
- To ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- To support sustainable growth and institutional development
Functions and Powers of the Executive Council
- Formulate, review, and approve policies, rules, and regulations of the institute
- Oversee academic, administrative, and financial activities
- Approve the annual budget, financial statements, and audit reports
- Monitor the implementation of academic Programmes and activities
- Review recommendations of IQAC and other statutory committees
- Ensure adherence to NCTE, UGC, university, and government norms
- Sanction creation of posts, committees, and infrastructure development
- Promote transparency, accountability, and good governance
Meetings of the Executive Council
- The Executive Council meets at least twice in an academic year or as and when required
- Meetings are conducted in a democratic and participative manner
- Decisions are recorded through properly documented minutes, which are maintained for record and reference
Role in Institutional Development
- Academic planning and introduction of new Programmes
- Faculty development and student welfare initiatives
- Infrastructure expansion and resource mobilization
- Maintaining discipline, ethics, and institutional values
